07/19/2008: "Slacking."

mood: sleepy.

So, I haven't updated for a while. I've been working a lot and just generally trying to keep my mind off of things. My grandmother, who I am extremely close to, got really sick and ended up in the hospital on life support. Thank god she's getting better now. I was really scared I was going to loose her for a while there.

I've also been working my ass off, either trying to put as many hours in at work as I can or trying to figure out another way to earn some extra income during my off hours. As sort've a second online job sort of thing. I love my job but it's to unreliable in terms of not getting enough hours. Though I must be a good employee because I generally get at least 25 hours a week. That still isn't good enough for me. I'd like to be made full time. And I'm hoping seeing as how 2 of the furniture people (the department) I work in are leaving, I may just get promoted. Let me keep my fingers crossed.

In some other interesting news, I bought Abrianna a costume yesterday. It cost me a little over 2 dollars. And it's a pink poodle! How awesome is that? She looks adorable in it. I also got a nice vtech train station for 10 dollars because the box was destroyed. Now all I've heard today is Abrianna running around saying 'all aboard' or 'choo choo'. Best 10 dollars I've spent in a while.
